Qualification: Statement of Attainment TAFE NSW Course No: 32000
This course is primarily for artists with disabilities who would like to pursue opportunities in multimedia production. The course has primarily a practical focus, on multimedia production for performance using assistive technologies. During the course you will develop knowledge, skills, understanding, attitudes and values needed to create multimedia elements for performance. You will also develop skills to help you to interact in a multimedia production environment, with both staff and students, in an educational setting. Career opportunities This course will help you develop some of the skills and knowledge needed to gain employment as a Multimedia Artist. Opportunities have begun to exist in this region for emerging artists with disabilities to gain work on community cultural development projects and workshop programs as arts facilitators / workshop assistants. You will also explore further education and employment options. Articulation When you complete this course you will have advanced standing in Certificate ll IT for New Media as well as other Certificate IV Multimedia & Screen courses available through Lismore Campus. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements, however it is hoped that participants will have some experience and interest in multimedia.
